August 2010 Monthly Meeting

What's new in Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 takes great strides at making your development environment faster, easier, and more intuitive. In this session we take a look at what has changed and what remains the same in this latest release. From project types to the start page to the toolboxes and more we explore how you can use the new integrated development environment (IDE) to build great software.  The Microsoft .NET Framework has empowered developers to create great software by building on a solid base and expanding what is possible. Explore how Visual Studio 2010 and the .NET Framework 4 can make it easier to harness the power of your applications.

Presenter: Mike Benkovich delivers technical presentations around the U.S. as a developer evangelist on the MSDN team at Microsoft. He has worked in a variety of professional roles, including architect, project manager, developer, and technical writer. Mike is also an author of two books, published by WROX Press and APress, which show developers how to get the most from their SQL databases. Since appearing in the 1994 Microsoft DevCast, Mike has presented technical information at seminars, conferences, and corporate boardrooms across America.
