Caching Strategies for Performance
We'll talk about caching strategies generally - what works and what doesn't in various scenarios.  We'll talk specifically about Microsoft's AppFabric Caching (aka Velocity), which offers a distributed caching solution, not unlike the popular "memcached" open source library. Come and here about the concepts and terminology, typical usage patterns, pitfalls, and more.

Intro to jQuery and IxEdit
Getting started with the jQuery JavaScript library is easy. We'll quickly see how to build a web app that traverses the DOM, adds event handling, animations, and Ajax interactions. Then we'll use the jQuery UI to spruce things up with tabs, dialogs, and date pickers. Finally, we'll do it all over again, but this time with no JavaScript coding, using IxEdit the JavaScript-based interaction design tool.
